The Last Goodbye

This video is a personal tribute to the lives of our two sailing cats, who shared our home, our boat, and our journey for many years. It highlights moments from their time with us, from life at sea to quiet days on land, and honours the deep bond we had with them.
One of them passed away in July 2024. The other followed in December 2025.
The tone of this video is gentle, reflective, and emotional. It is created with love and gratitude, not with any intention to cause distress. However, for those who knew them, sailed with us, or followed their story closely, some scenes may feel especially moving or sad. Please take care while watching, and feel free to pause or return to it when you feel ready.

EP 086 - Second Atlantic Crossing

We rushed the boat into the water and said goodbye to Nova Scotia, Canada, but not before a magical stop at Big Tancook Island, where new friends gave us a tour on their yellow Japanese fire truck! From there, we set off on our second Atlantic crossing, West to East, heading for the UK… or so we thought.

Electrical scares, dense fog, close calls with gales, and mysterious jellyfish with tiny sails, this passage had it all. We battled the Gulf Stream, fixed our engine mid-ocean, and even hove-to for the first time. Along the way, we spotted whales, dolphins, and endless flocks of seabirds.

Adventure, lessons, and a few plot twists, this crossing was nothing like our first, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. 🌊⚓

EP 085 - Nova Scotia - Canada

Sailing to Nova Scotia! 🇨🇦 From Maine to Shelburne & Surprise Boat Repairs

After an overnight sail from Maine, we made it to Canada. Hello, Nova Scotia! First stop: the charming town of Shelburne, with its historic streets and one of the world’s top natural harbours. We planned to stay one night… but couldn’t resist a few extra days.
Next up: Mahone Bay for a quick boat check before our Atlantic crossing, until we uncovered a major issue with our mast support. Cue surprise repairs, a first-time mast removal, (for us), and lots of unexpected boat work.
Join us as we explore, adapt, and prep for the big sail to the Azores.

EP 084 - Maine

After leaving Salem, we slowed down, anchoring in quiet bays where time seemed to pause. Then we headed north, into Maine’s legendary fog and eerie stillness. From hidden anchorages and misty mornings to the rugged beauty of Rockland and the wild serenity of Mount Desert Island, this leg of the journey was pure magic. Bald eagles, seals, pine forests, and coastal towns, Maine gave us everything.
Next stop: Canada.
A new wild awaits.

EP 083 - Salem and Boston

We left the calm charm of Newport behind and set sail for adventure, skipping the chaos of Boston and heading straight for the spellbinding town of Salem.
Think witches, haunted museums, quirky vibes, and a dash of New England magic.
Plus, we took a quick side trip to Boston by train (because hey, we had to). History, coffee, cobblestones it was a perfect day ashore.
Hop aboard and follow our journey up the coast, with surprises around every turn and a glimpse of what’s waiting just beyond the horizon...

EP 082 - Sailing to Newport, RI – Mansions, Ghost Hunts & Cliff Walks!

In this episode, we sail into the historic charm of Newport, Rhode Island, where Gilded Age mansions meet rugged coastlines. We dodge mooring fields, wait out stormy weather onboard, and explore the stunning Cliff Walk. From ghost hunting (with zero ghosts, but plenty of bunnies) to admiring The Breakers and other grand estates, Newport surprised us at every turn. Join us for this blend of nature, history, and sailing adventure!

Join us as we sail from Norfolk, Virginia to the iconic skyline of New York City! From calm seas to freezing winds, foggy mornings, and jaw-dropping views, this leg of our journey had it all. We moor up in Brooklyn, explore Manhattan, visit the Statue of Liberty, and soak in the magic of NYC from jazz clubs to comedy legends and famous TV landmarks. First time in America by sailboat? Unforgettable.
